A collaborative VR sculpture installation developed in 2016 with the launch of Oculus Rift, made by Alison Gill and Iain Nicholls. Taking a critical look at the intersection of virtual reality (VR) and sculpture, the work exposed the limits within a digital-haptic experience and the fault lines of otherworldly utopias. Acknowledging a fundamental shift in global perception, and with a nod to the horror vision of H.P.Lovecraft, Dreams of a Witch House (Project Tomorrow People) was intended as a nomadic site for new states of reality. A parallel world for ‘dark times’ invocating ideas about ecology, folklore, shamanic rites and commune utopias gone awry.

‘Enter the geodesic dome. Alone, together and open your eyes.’
