Drawing Class (2007)

This work made use of the blogging format, (here). It employed drawing and condensed text entries to create a fictional environment in which ‘the occupant’ wandered around a modern institutional building, after-hours to encounter an unfolding story.

The blog began with observation of social class, gender (it is a boys school) and privilege in education. However, the mood and tone of the blog entries soon changed to become more  enigmatic as the year progressed. This worked to disrupt and destabalised the content which was at once seemingly personal, romantic, publicly available and yet shrouded in anonymity and mystery.

The live blog had a duration of one year.
